Season Passes for Powderhorn Resort
Coaches must volunteer with Team Powderhorn and/or CDA's adaptive snowsports program 20 or more days to qualify for a season pass at Powderhorn. Season passes are issued at the discretion of the Head Coach, CDA's Executive Director or CDA's Program Director.

Every volunteer with Team Powderhorn must have completed a background check through Special Olympics Colorado. Please ask the head coach for details.

CDA provides transportation to athletes who need assistance in getting to training sessions at Powderhorn Resort. Coaches are invited to join in on those trips or to carpool. Colorado Discover Ability provides transportation to and from events at Ski Cooper in Leadville and at Copper Mountain Resort.

Coaches should bring an appropriate lunch for each training day or enough money to buy lunch at Powderhorn's cafeteria. All meals will be provided during Area Games and Winter Games..

All coaches supply their own ski and snowboarding gear, which may be purchased at pro-discount prices at Gene Taylor's Sporting Goods store in Grand Junction. Pro forms for ski and snowboard gear are also available through Martin and Sean. Qualified instructors may purchase Team Powderhorn or CDA's instructor's jacket. All uniforms (jackets, pants) must be ordered through Head Coach or CDA's Snowsports Director. All coaches are required to wear helmets when practicing with the team (no exceptions) and are encouraged to wear helmets when skiing or riding outside official training sessions.
