Ready to kick-start that learning curve, build confidence, and enjoy the camaraderie of skiing or riding with others of your ability?
Experienced skiers or riders and first-timers alike will have a blast learning to do it right with our pro instructors and coaches. Our Adaptive Snowsports School will help you build the skills to conquer the mountain with a smile on your face.

Private Ski and Snowboard Lessons
Make giant strides by customizing a private session to address your needs. Individual lessons in alpine skiing, snowboarding, or snowshoeing with one of our pro instructors will empower you to conquer the mountain and increase your comfort zone. In our lessons the focus is always on your goals, whether you want to improve your technical skills or simply need a partner to explore the mountain.

Family Ski and Snowboard Lessons
Enjoy learning together through our Family Lessons, which combine ski, snowboard and adaptive instruction in the same class. The shared experience on snow will satisfy the diverse needs and goals of every member of the group. You can bring up to six family members and friends of all ages and ability levels.
Half-Day: $55      Full-Day: $75
Equipment and lift tickets included only for the adaptive guests.
All-mountain ticket: $20; EZ Rider ticket: $12; equipment rental: $15.

Tag-Along Ski and Snowboard Lessons
Family members who already know how to ski or snowboard can learn the proper techniques to assist the family member or a friend with special needs on the hill. Inquire about the Tag-Along Lessons when making reservations.

Colorado Discover Ability is the Adaptive Snowsports School at Powderhorn Resort in western Colorado. For more than 20 years Colorado Discover Ability (CDA) instructors at Powderhorn have helped individuals - adults and children with various disabilities - learn to ski, snowboard, snowshoe and race. Our snowsports programs are very open and inclusive. We welcome everyone with disabilities, their friends and their families. Participants in our diverse programs come from all walks of life and from all parts of the world.
