OUTDOOR DAY CAMPS

What better way to spend a summer day than hanging out with friends and exploring our big backyard, Western Colorado?

Join us for our Integrated Outdoor Adventure Day Camp for kids and young adults, ages 8 to oldest kid at heart. Make your day an outdoor day!
WHO

Ages 18 and Up: Adult Camp (Tuesdays)
Ages 8-18: Youth Camp (Wednesdays)

WHEN

Tuesdays and Wednesdays throughout the summer. Typical camp hours are 10 am - 3 pm. Some days have extended hours.

WHERE

We will meet at the CDA Office, 740 Gunnison Ave., downtown Grand Junction, located in the Center for Independence building (map). We will shuttle to and from this location.

WHAT TO BRING

Bring your lunch and a drink bottle. We will provide snacks and additional drinks. Please let us know if there are any food allergies we need to know about.

We will be in the sun most of the time. Bring a hat. Please apply sunscreen to your child beforehand for every event. More will be provided on site.

Wear appropriate clothing for the activity, especially proper footwear. For rafting and kayaking wear shoes or sturdy sandals that can get wet. No Flip-flops. For hiking, wear shoes and socks.

At Day Camps individuals with disabilities spend time outdoors exploring their abilities in a safe and therapeutic environment. Our camps allow participants the opportunity to work directly with peer volunteers, which in return provides an integrated therapeutic experience. We have a simple goal for our Day Camps: to provide opportunities for outdoor recreation through innovative, barrier-free environments.
