The Grand Valley offers many opportunities to enjoy outdoors.  The increasing trails system opens up for any cycling enthusiast from beginner to competitive athlete.  Cycling popularity has grown and with an array of adaptive bikes available, this activity can be a great equalizer for the disabled community. Benefits include improvement in health and social aspect of community.  Cycling can be done as an individual, group or family.  Thanks to the US Paralympic Opportunity Fund, in 2013 we were able to purchase 10 new bikes for our program.  All of the bikes can be adjusted and modified to fit an individual rider.  As each individual has different abilities, having an array of adaptions will ensure everyone will be able to enjoy the ride. *Kids bikes are available. There are adapted bikes for paraplegics, quadriplegics, amputees, vision impaired, cerebral palsy and so on. “Get Back on the Bike” A program that will Introduce you to cycling Guide you to explore the Grand Valley on bikes adapted to your needs, learn how to ride in our personal clinics along the Riverfront trails Be a launching point to other outdoor sports Be an opportunity to overcome barriers Lead to eventual recreating independently and/or with friends and family. Participate in the Spirit of the Valley 5K - Run, Walk ‘n Roll
